We will briefly present the characteristics of the best-known learning disorders (dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysphasia, high intellectual potential with a heterogeneous profile, AD / HD, autism spectrum disorder, auditory processing disorder …) and share mainly strategies to help students with learning challenges.
An orthopedagogue with more than 20 years of experience, Sinead Roy is well versed in learning disabilities. She conducts assessments and follow-ups with students who are facing major learning challenges, while continuing to enhance her knowledge through continuing education courses and research readings. She has experienced home schooling with her two youngest children and now supports families who attend school at home. She shares her experience through conferences and has designed the website MonOrthopedagogue.ca on which she exposes the orthopedagogical material she creates for students who need visual and logical theories.
